2nd Annual Golf Tournament a Huge Success

It was a sunny and spirited day in the middle of September as golfers from all around the Central PA region gathered for the 2nd Annual PA CASA Golf Tournament. The event, hosted by the leading advocate for holistic well-being, Organic Remedies, allowed both seasoned pros and enthusiastic beginners to tee off for a cause. The tournament took place at the scenic Carlisle Country Club, which provided the perfect backdrop for a day of camaraderie and competition.

The event wasn’t just about swings and putts – it was supporting Pennsylvania Court Appointed Advocates’ mission to grow, strengthen and unite local CASA programs so that they can ensure the safety, well-being, and forever home for every child who has been affected by abuse and neglect in Pennsylvania. The atmosphere was electric as golfers started up their golf carts and headed to the course.

Early on, golfers swung by our information table, where PA CASA staff and dedicated Cumberland County CASA volunteers shared insights on how we advocate for children in need. Lisa and Ann’s enthusiasm helped golfers to discover the incredible work CASA does throughout the Commonwealth. Their commitment shined as brightly as the sun on the fairway!

Alongside the competitive rounds, there were exciting contests and challenges, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day. One such competition was the “Win a Car for a Hole-in-One” at Hole #13!

While no one won the car, the tournament’s success was not just measured in birdies and bogeys but in the positive impact it will have on the work CASA does. By participating and contributing, attendees became a part of a much larger vision: Every abused and/or neglected child in Pennsylvania has access to the service and support of a CASA volunteer. The spirit of community and compassion truly set this event apart. Participants, sponsors, and volunteers alike shared a common belief: that advocacy can make a difference in the lives of children who have experienced abuse and neglect.

In the end, it was more than just a golf tournament; it was a celebration of compassion, community, and the unwavering belief that every child deserves a brighter future. We look forward to next year’s event and its even greater impact.
