Honoring Maura Kelly: A Legacy of Service and Advocacy

PA CASA is proud to honor Maura Kelly as she retires—again!—after eight impactful years with our statewide network and a lifetime dedicated to championing children and the CASA mission.

Maura’s CASA journey began in the mid-1990s when, as a member of the Junior League, she learned about the CASA model and was immediately inspired by its mission. She soon became a volunteer advocate with CASA of Allegheny County in 1996, where she gave her heart and time to countless children throughout the Pittsburgh area. In recognition of her extraordinary commitment, she was named “CASA Volunteer of the Year” by CASA of Allegheny County in 1999.

Equipped with her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Maura transformed her passion into a decades-long career of leadership and service. She served in multiple CASA programs across several states—New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania—bringing a unique blend of expertise, compassion, and commitment to every role.

When Maura joined PA CASA in 2017, she brought with her a vision for a stronger statewide network. She played a key role in expanding local programs, developing foundational resources, and building connections that will benefit children and families for years to come. Her commitment, wisdom, and warmth have touched every part of PA CASA’s work.

Maura has been more than a colleague—she has been an advocate, a mentor, and a true friend. We are deeply grateful for the countless ways she has advanced the CASA mission and inspired so many along the way.

Thank you, Maura, for everything. You leave behind a legacy of hope, strength, and compassion. Enjoy your well-earned retirement. You will always be part of the CASA family. 💙
