Then they act.

Volunteers get to know the child by talking with everyone in that child’s life: parents and relatives, foster parents, teachers, medical professionals, attorneys, social workers and others. They use the information they gather to help inform judges and others of what the child needs and what will be the best permanent home for them.

CASA volunteers come from all walks of life with a variety of professional, educational, and ethnic backgrounds. Some are retired educators or social workers, some volunteer while working full time or going to school. Regardless of their backgrounds or training, all of them simply want to help the most vulnerable members of their community. Because the children served by CASA volunteers are diverse in background and need, we strive to recruit volunteers diverse in skill and background.

As a CASA volunteer, you will be thoroughly trained and well supported by professional staff to help you through each case.

       Get Started

If you are interested in receiving general information about PA CASA, becoming a sponsor, or coordinating an event for our organization–we look forward to hearing from you!

     Requirements
           Expand
An applicant having a charge or conviction for a crime involving a sex offense, child abuse or neglect, or related acts that would pose risks to children or the CASA program’s credibility is disqualified as a CASA volunteer.
