Immediate Network Announcement

The recent announcement from National CASA/GAL is deeply concerning. However, Pennsylvania CASA assures our network and partners that this decision does not present a direct financial impact on our organization. The overall impact on the PA CASA network will be minimal, as only one local program receives a portion of its funding through this specific funding stream.

Since 2022, we have received direct state funding with strong, bipartisan support from both the Governor’s Office and the Pennsylvania General Assembly. The role of CASA in Pennsylvania is codified in state law, underscoring the critical importance of our work across the Commonwealth. We appreciate the strong support from the State of Pennsylvania.

We are deeply grateful to our state, foundation, corporate, and individual funders whose continued investment enables us to support and strengthen local CASA programs across Pennsylvania without disruption.

We remain committed to supporting the vital work of local programs. In the past year alone, more than 1,000 CASA volunteers served over 2,000 children in Pennsylvania’s child welfare system. That essential work—your work—remains as vital and urgent as ever. Together, we will continue to move forward.
