Difference Makers for Pennsylvania’s Most Vulnerable

CASA programs provide screened, trained, and qualified community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children and youth who are before the court as a result of abuse or neglect as defined by the state child welfare laws, living at home or in out-of-home care.

Throughout April, we highlighted advocacy efforts in recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Now, join us as we show appreciation for CASA volunteers across the Commonwealth throughout Volunteer Appreciation Week.

To start your tour, select a county/program to visit and hear from a CASA volunteer. We have selected a variety of stories in both written and video formats.

Details of each story, including the child’s name, have been changed to protect the confidentiality of the child and family.
